A short Cthulhu Mythos story. In the eighth century middle east, occult scholar Abdul Alhazred meets a strange companion who accompanies him in his exploration of the ancient and eldritch.
Based primarily on Lovecraft's "History of the Necronomicon," but it also incorporates elements from "The Festival," "The Nameless City," "The Call of Cthulhu," and (especially) "The Dunwich Horror." None of these are required reading, but you'll get the most out of this fic if you've at least read "History" and "Dunwich."

The conversation Raine and I had at the Saye Estate lingered in my mind. We were back in Sharrowford now. Things should've been back to normal. She should've been screwing me the way she was supposed to again.
She wasn't.
Despite her assurances that everything was fine, she wasn't touching me how I needed. It was driving me more insane than the maths I'd started to lean more into studying the pamphlet, just to get her to put her hands on me again. Clearly, demanding that she touch me how I wanted didn't work and in all my infinite, irrational, fucked up wisdom, I was going to study until she gave me what I needed.
Or: The time Heather finally gets to have sex with Raine 'the good way' after they get back to Sharrowford from visiting her parents.
