“I’m keeping a fragile patient safe.” Flux looks to Thomas as the other says this, and the brunette could only shrug, eyes wide. Okay, so he isn’t insane for thinking this is weird.
“I’m no longer a patient.” He says, slowly. Why is this not clicking to him?
Saparata takes his wrist in hand, as if to feel for a pulse. However, his grip is unkind, “Is that so? Maybe you’re feeling confused. You’re still a patient.”
Oh. Okay. He scoffs, “So that’s how you’re playing it?”
(OR: where flux awakens as a clairvoyant, (pretends to) hate saparata de theria, is forced to work with him, somehow enters a fake relationship??? and falls in love somewhere in the middle... wait, wasn't the world ending just now?)

In some twisted, self-destructive corner of his mind, he wanted it, to push him far enough that the inevitable would happen. That Saps would have no choice but to pull the trigger. Hopefully just one bullet, he thought, almost idly. It could be clean in the midst of all the nearby destruction. At least then he'd have the proof that he had an effect of sorts, that he had mattered and provoked something real and undeniable in the grand indifferent sprawl of it all.
And maybe, just maybe, he also thoroughly enjoyed watching Saps unravel.
or, in which there's nothing left for fluixon in paradise city. on his way out, he crosses paths with the scientist who still has everything to lose. it comes as a surprise to no one but fluixon that he doesn't seem keen to let him leave so easily.
