Summary
In the summer of ‘89 Steve Harrington is the newest bartender at the surprisingly popular (and very gay) bar, The Poison Pear. Alongside Robin, Steve starts his first night on his own with confidence—until Eddie Munson shows up in tight leather, messy curls, smudged eyeliner, and a teasing grin. Turns out the metalhead not only plays with his band at the bar, but also works there on the busy weekends.
Steve quickly spirals into a bisexual crisis while working long, hectic nights with Eddie who becomes so much more than just a ‘save the world’ acquaintance and (pretty, intriguing, oh did he mention pretty?) coworker.
With shared trauma to heal from and uncharted desires between them, Steve falls fast and falls hard into Eddie’s open arms.

Eddie only smirks. “To your first night,” he says as he clinks their glasses together. Steve nods at that as they both down the shot, eyes locking as they wince past the burn in their throats. But Steve knows it’s more than the whiskey warming his chest.
