Michael had invited David to stay for a few days. Anna had taken the girls to visit her family, and though Michael was content to have the place to himself, it was almost too quiet. It hadn't taken much effort to put the idea in David's head. All Michael had to do was promise peace and quiet - and alcohol and good conversation.
A knock on the door announced David's arrival. Michael answered with a big smile. Before he could say hello, David had dropped his bag and pulled Michael into a tight hug. He returned the embrace, melting into it with overwhelming affection.

[RPF!] The ineffable journey, from the casting of Good Omens in 2017 to precisely where are now, covering both David and Michael's experiences behind the scenes and under the spotlight (including Staged). Very much a love story, platonically and otherwise. 100% a slow-burn; a cacophony of talent, emotion, love, angst and intensity, all wrapped up in a wordy, ongoing AO3 package.
[As someone who historically finds focusing on real-life pairings quite uncomfortable, I've done my best to fictionalise David & Michael based on their Staged personas. Their personalities are a blend of what they've shown of themselves in interviews, Staged and my own imagination. Their partners are similarly written. Their children are fictional, as I'm not comfortable writing about real children. All in all, I'm doing my best with the limitations given to me by my brain, and I sincerely hope that it's an enjoyable read regardless!]
