    Summary

Sherlock Holmes has never been interested in romance, intimacy, or any of the crude distractions of the flesh. His mind belongs to puzzles alone.

At least, that was the case...until a careless remark plants a most inconvenient thought in his head.

Not long after, the detective finds himself plagued by a series of deeply troubling nocturnal emissions, each dream featuring mysterious intellectual equals whose faces he cannot remember.

That is, until he meets William James Moriarty.

Now Sherlock has a new problem:
the man haunting his dreams might also be his most dangerous suspect—The Lord of Crime.

    Summary

"One's competence is not congruent with their sexes, either primary or secondary, or both—reason why ‘discernment’ was a word, a deed, and a skill everyone must learn."

Sherlock was astounded. This beautiful stranger he just met this early afternoon was, at first glance, impressive enough that he let him tag along with this pursuit, but when he heard him say almost the same lines he used to throw mindlessly before...it causes him to hear and feel a loud pitter-patter inside his chest, like a strong coffee which made the hearts of those diligent students who loves to pull an all-nighter palpitate every freaking time.

Sherlock was careless when he emitted a boisterous laugh, a tint of blush adorning his pale cheeks, "I know, right?! hehe."

William smiled at the man who had the same opinion as him, finding this almost childish act endearing. For a moment, he felt his heart pounding hard.

Sherlock flaunted a smirk after exhibiting such a scene then he stared, eyeing William with a knowing glint, "However, you told me you're an Alpha but why don't I see you behaving like one? Someone’s in heat, as you said, but you act pretty disinterested as well."

    Summary

    He was…

“..so glorious..” Sherlock disclosed mentally, unaware the other party had the power to decipher human minds.

Hearing such an erotic remark, the creature was unable to erase the delighted smirk from his lovely face; it dared him to go for the human's lips, devouring him like a fine salmon from the south.

    “Posthac meus es, Sherlock.”

    Summary

"If you truly adore his guts immensely, you should just sweep the other man out of the picture and make yourself his number one." The younger's naivete resurfaced with such blatant sentiment, earning a light chuckle from his math tutor.

"You really are young.” William reminded him, seemingly tickled by Sherlock's childishness, "He means the most to me–enough reason for me to avoid doing things he would hate me for."

And that led Sherlock into a trance. In this instance, he's beginning to realize that William has this unfaltering consideration towards his brother. The emotions he pours for him are perfectly authentic and pure, and full of devotion to the point he'd never contemplate about engaging in deeds Mycroft would detest. He treats him softly, dearly like a life source, brimming with reverence and love. However, Mycroft would only see him as his most trusted friend and nothing more. It…

It hurts. Sherlock hasn't got the foggiest idea why on earth he's actually hurting on his behalf.

    Summary

"YOU NEVER CARED WHAT HAPPENED TO ME! NOT ON THE DAY OF YOUR EXECUTION! NOT ON THAT NIGHT I STOOD OUTSIDE, ALONE! SO GET THE FUCK OUT! LEAVE ME, LIKE YOU DID BACK THEN! GO HOME! SLEEP WELL, SLEEP TIGHT, AND WAKE UP TOMORROW TO ANNOUNCE YOUR REQUEST FOR A NEW WRITER! I DON’T FUCKING CARE! I DON’T WANNA WORK WITH YOU! I DON’T WANNA SEE YOU ANYMORE!"

Hearing Sherlock’s outburst, William was speechless. Hurt. But he understood.

After all… he was the one who had inflicted the pain first.

So, William stayed. Watching Sherlock’s trembling hands as they covered his tear-streaked face.

    "No… I didn’t mean… any of that. That’s not what I wanted to say."

Feeling the overwhelming grief and regret of failing to save William from his orchestrated death, Sherlock Holmes was devastated enough to bring his anguish to their next life.

    Summary

Though astonished by how precise the man’s deductions were, Liam ensured his expression remained neutral and countered with a question. “Why are you so certain—or rather, so determined to believe—that this gift is for a sibling? What if you’re wrong? What if I actually live with a lover?”

"Oi! Don’t go dodgin’ the question! I’ve got it spot on, ain't I? And I’d bet me last quid you ain't got a lover!"

    Summary

    "Mr. Holmes."

Sherlock froze, every nerve in his body standing on edge as he turned slowly, unwilling to believe that Professor William James Moriarty was speaking to him. But there he was, standing at the edge of the lecture platform, one hand resting casually on the desk, his scarlet eyes fixed intently on Sherlock.

    "May I have a word?"

Sherlock’s throat tightened, and for a moment, he considered bolting from the room. But his legs betrayed him, carrying him forward with a traitorous kind of obedience, until he stood directly before William, staring up at him, trying desperately to appear composed.

"Your grades," William began, his voice even and calm, "are not reflective of your potential."

Sherlock blinked. He had expected criticism—disappointment, even. He had not expected this.

"You’re intelligent," William continued, his gaze unwavering. "It’s obvious. But intelligence without effort will only take you so far. You’re not trying, Mr. Holmes, and that’s a shame."

"I… I’ve never been particularly passionate about the subjects I'm not into."

A faint smile touched William’s lips, "That’s clear. But tell me—what would it take for you to care?"

    Summary

Thorough investigation of Sherlock Holmes had been implemented, and that includes knowing everything about him, such as his address, his image to the townsfolk or general behavior, his things, especially the covert ones like if he had a gun, his physical attributes even the size of his feet, his records, acquaintances, and his daily routine. It almost feels like William has become the detective's stalker when he decided to have a room rented on the building across Holmes’ residence just so Fred and the others could monitor his every move.

But to make his actions less disturbing for himself, he'd always convince his heart that this is fully objective, and will never be subjective at all cost.
