Summary
Tim has problems. Not huge ones, in his opinion. He's doing fine. Or at least he was, until a whole lot of bad things happened in very quick succession, and suddenly his normal-sized problems got rather a lot larger.
Jason comes back to Gotham a little later, and suddenly he's the first to properly recognise these issues. Naturally he becomes Tim's go-to when everything comes repeatedly crashing down. At first, at least. Because he's not the only one around to help pick up the pieces.

“What’s that mean?” Jason snaps and great that apparently was still the wrong thing to say.
“Nothing,” Tim dumps the cup he just filled in the sink before he even registers it and he feels a little stupid for it. He stares at the drain for a second before just giving up and setting the glass in the sink. He leans against the counter.

Crap. They found him. Okay, okay, it wasn't a crime to eavesdrop. Maybe a little rude, but it can be excused, right? Tim smiled nervously as he stepped out to finally look at the guests properly and– wow. That was the prettiest person Tim had ever seen.
