I took Rocky’s face in my hands and kissed him properly, my hips rolling against his as we found our rhythm through the clothing. It felt a little forced at first, but he was a fast learner and I was more than willing to adjust to what he needed. It’s been nearly 27 years since Eva Stratt forced Ryland Grace to board the Hail Mary and sent him off to his death for the greater good of mankind. Meanwhile, Eva and the Project Hail Mary team have been fighting a losing battle against the cooling sun—and their own demons—trying to make sure there were still people to be saved by the time the crew could send a solution home.
