During the first 4 years of his contract, Hongjoong had never seen his job as some kind of competition to win. Yes, there were goals to meet, numbers to reach, but all that was just a part of his job with which he was at peace and serenity. His team was united, the others were respectful towards each other. There was no point in putting obstacles in each other's way to move forward when we're all in the same boat.
Until Park Seonghwa arrived.

Bien qu'étant en Avril, l’air étouffant de la Californie les avait accueilli à la sortie de l’avion et Hongjoong se demandait comment il allait survivre à ce séjour. Performer à Coachella, il s’y entraînait depuis des semaines. Voir Seonghwa dévêtu coiffé d’un chapeau de cow-boy à peine posé un pied sur le sol américain ? Personne ne l’y avait préparé. Peut être qu’il exagérait, son petit ami n'était pas quasiment nu, il était tout simplement incroyablement sexy dans la tenue qu’il avait enfilé en vitesse dans leur chambre d’hôtel. Finis les vêtements passe-partout pour se fondre dans la masse, Seonghwa était en mission (non officielle) : rendre Hongjoong fou. Preuve en était que le rappeur n'arrêtait pas de croiser son regard faussement innocent à chaque fois que son petit ami rejetait ses cheveux en arrière pour dévoiler son cou dénudé et marqué de la nuit précédente ou lorsqu’il étirait ses longs bras dévêtus au dessus de sa tête dévoilant au passage la peau de son ventre ou tout simplement en entrouvrant plus encore le col échancré de sa chemise sous prétexte d’avoir besoin de respirer. Et malgré toute la volonté dont pouvait faire preuve Hongjoong, il n'était qu’un homme.

Although it was April, the stifling air of California greeted them as they exited the plane and Hongjoong wondered how he was going to survive this journey. Performing at Coachella, he had been training there for weeks. See Seonghwa undressed in a cowboy hat as soon as he sets foot on American soil? No one had prepared him for this. Maybe he was exaggerating, his boyfriend wasn't nearly naked, he was just incredibly sexy in the outfit he quickly threw on in their hotel room. No more casual clothes to blend in, Seonghwa was on an (unofficial) mission : to drive Hongjoong crazy. Proof of this was that the rapper kept meeting his falsely innocent gaze every time his boyfriend tossed back his hair to reveal his bare and scarred neck from the previous night or when he stretched his long, unclothed arms above of his head revealing in passing the skin of his stomach or quite simply by opening the low collar of his shirt even more under the pretext of needing to breathe. And despite all the will Hongjoong could muster, he was only a man.

Love can make you forget everything. For Seonghwa, it was his rationality and prudence.

Summary
Several weeks had now passed since he had first met the young man and he remembered it as if this moment had happened the day before, his emotions on edge with the same intensity as that blessed day. Often, he cursed the polluted air of the city which prevented him from seeing the stars from his bedroom window. So he drew. Entire galaxies. Never as brilliant as the ones he had delved into, but a substitute that he couldn't stop scribbling. Despite the miss, he liked to think that this meeting was not the result of chance. Perhaps Seonghwa was destined to be his muse and he was now his inexhaustible source of inspiration which would allow him to compose the title of his career. Maybe he was what he lacked to become the artist he was destined to be.

Hongjoong didn't expect to meet his muse this day and yet he was certain : the dazzling obsidian orbs in the phone screen in front of him were now essential to him.

Summary
Plusieurs semaines étaient passées désormais depuis qu’il avait rencontré pour la première fois le jeune homme et il s’en rappelait comme si ce moment était arrivé la veille, les émotions à fleur de peau avec la même intensité que ce jour béni. Souvent, il maudissait l’air pollué de la ville qui l’empêchait d’apercevoir les étoiles de la fenêtre de sa chambre. Alors il dessinait. Des galaxies entières. Jamais aussi brillantes que celles dans lesquelles il avait plongé mais un substitut qu’il ne pouvait s’empêcher de griffonner. Malgré le manque, il aimait penser que cette rencontre n’était pas le fruit du hasard. Peut-être que Seonghwa était destiné à être sa muse et qu’il était désormais sa source d’inspiration inépuisable qui allait lui permettre de composer le titre de sa carrière. Peut être qu’il était ce qui lui manquait pour devenir cet artiste qu’il était amené à être.
OU
Hongjoong ne s'attendait pas à rencontrer sa muse ce jour-ci et pourtant il en était certain : les orbes d’obsidienne éblouissantes dans l’écran du téléphone face à lui étaient désormais essentielles.
