Simon wakes up on a weirdly clean station? Ship? He isn't sure. What he does know is that there is someone here who still believes the stars exist, and a rock who is supposedly alive.
Ryland Grace had come to terms with the fact that he was, and would always be, the only human on Erid. When he and Rocky go on another space trip to spread taumoeba to the stars closest to Erid, that belief is challenged, if not outright destroyed. And, of course, in the bloodiest way possible.

Yet, she is still breathing.Light years away, Ryland Grace and Rocky are returning to Erid, when they come across a strange vessel floating in the void of space. Upon opening what is essentially a rusted can, they find another human. Somehow, there is a human out in space with no arm and strange mutations that have no clear cause.

“Alright, Simon…If I walk over there to make sure you didn’t pull any of the stitches on your arm, will you not try to choke me again?”, Ryland asked as he made sure to speak in that soft voice he always used with his students whenever they’d gotten injured.
