Of course, that was exactly what he needed to say.
Norway lost the World Cup, and all Erling wants to do is sleep and wallow in self-pity, even though he’s happy to have made it this far. Jude, on the other hand, just wants to apologize and reconcile with his ex-boyfriend.

“Funny, cause I’ve been doing pretty good so far I think,” Lexi mutters, jaw tight.
At least twice a month she receives a call that comes up CALIFORNIA STATE CORRECTIONS that she sends to voicemail. Sometimes Fezco leaves a voicemail, sometimes he doesn’t. Not that Lexi listens to them.
(But she doesn’t delete them either, and she’s unwilling to really dig into the reason why.)

It’s the Fourth of July and she finds herself being dragged to some gathering in a mansion with an excited Maddy and a cautious Jules - her standard excuse of playing Rue’s sober buddy null and void this holiday weekend as her best friend is out of town at the lake house of some coworkers of her moms. The girls she finds herself flanked with have no idea that skipping out of house parties was also a convenient way to avoid a certain ginger-haired drug dealer.

.Fezco is posted up on a couch beside some ostentatious swimming pool, blunt hanging casually out of the side of his mouth while he taps the screen of his phone to life. He has learned to ignore the rising number of missed texts that pop up on the messages icon, more worried about the day the number stays the same and less about how high they get. It’s not as frequent these days, two months come and gone from when he pushed Lexi out of his life without a word, but he finds his fingers near constantly hovering over their text thread, an itch deep in his spine to just give in already.
