It sounds harsh. It is harsh. The feeling you get after receiving an ‘I love you’ from Midoriya should never be described like that. Simply because it’s Midoriya.
Yet, it’s the only way Bakugou could think to describe it.
It's not that he didn't love Midoriya. Because he did. And he does. It's just different from the way that Midoriya loves him. He knew that when they got together. Bakugou thought that his feelings would change over time. But being able to physically hear the difference was almost sickening. Because if Bakugou could tell then Midoriya might be able to tell as well. He was afraid he was gonna get caught red fucking handed. Afraid that he had hurt him for the millionth time.
