Summary
Will is practically a genius, and he knows it. His intelligence, among other things, made his life hell growing up in his little nowhere town in Louisiana, but it also got him out. Now, miles away from the home that formed the memories that nightly plague his dreams, he's starting life on his own terms. In a pompous ivy league university in which he's fairly sure he's the only student there on his own merits. I.e. not his parents money.
He's going to make something of himself. He's going to prove his father wrong. He's going to make friends and hell, maybe even fall in love.
His plans start to derail on just the second day.

When Will takes it, Hannibal finds he may have made a promise he can't keep, and may have to face his own fears in the process.

Summary
It's almost a year since the fall from the cliff and their lives are in some semblance of normal. Domestic. As normal and domestic as things get for them. Will is happy, but there's the fantom feeling that Hannibal is still on edge. A distance between them that's been growing by the day. Will is also unsatisfied and pretty sure Hannibal is too. He plans to fix all of that on the anniversary of the fall, or maybe the other anniversary. Hannibal, as usual, ruins his plans.
