Remus cut him off on purpose; he almost felt cruel, but it was just too fun. The slight flush on Sirius’ cheeks, the way he became skittish and unsure.
“No need, princess. I’m sure we just got off on the wrong foot.”
Sirius blushed bright pink at the pet name and cleared his throat.
“It’s Sirius.”
Remus took his time checking Sirius out, giving him a blatant once-over. This guy was his type to a T, barring his attitude. If anything, that was all the more reason to push all of his buttons. Remus’ tongue poked out of his mouth, wetting his lower lip, and he gave him a half smile.
“I heard you.”
Yeah, okay, maybe Remus could look past the attitude. Maybe.
