Summary
Hua Cheng is smitten with Xie Lian from almost the first moment she sees her, when the woman turns up at her flower shop and asks for help in picking out a plant for her apartment.

Her lips trailed upwards to Xie Lian’s hips, gently biting the softness that padded her hipbones. “Or maybe this.” When Xie Lian moaned shakily, her legs spreading gently, Hua Cheng moved to mouth against the top of her slit, kissing just above her clit before moving upwards, sucking marks into Xie Lian’s soft belly. “But it’s so hard to choose.”
“San Niang, please.” Hua Cheng hummed absently, her tongue swirling against Xie Lian’s stomach just below her navel, sucking it gently until a lipstick-ringed mark appeared.
“Please what, my love? All you have to do is tell me.” Xie Lian huffed, frustrated, shifting so that she was leaning most of her weight onto the counter. As reparation for her teasing, Xie Lian pressed her silk-stockinged foot along Hua Cheng’s erection, rubbing gently at it until Hua Cheng moaned.

Xie Lian felt parched, but was unable to move, rooted on her barstool, staring up at the balcony. “But…why?” she asked. Xie Lian was still reeling from the question of why Hua Cheng would single her out and talk to her and had not heard what He Xuan said, but that did not stop the somber woman from responding.
“She’s a venus fly trap,” He Xuan said flatly, her back to the balcony. “Anything that gets too close, she devours.”
