Turning to look at him more fully, you see that his hair is wet too. He’s been dripping the whole time he's stood there; there’s a halo of wet, dark spots on the floor around him that feel almost symbolic.

Summary
Sammy only has a few goals in life. First, to keep her head down and exist under the radar to keep her past safely buried. Second, make enough money working in various coffeeshops to pay the rent on her shitty New York City apartment. Third, finally get to the Humane Society to adopt a cat. And fourth, try to avoid getting caught up in every robbery, violent crime, mugging, mafia hit, murder, Karen on a rampage, and supervillain plot to take over the world thanks to what has to be the worst luck in the existence of the universe.
At what point does a lifetime of bad luck point toward something more insidious like an honest-to-god curse? Probably about the time mutilated bodies start showing up. In hindsight, with her luck moving to a city full of superheroes and trying to stay unnoticed was not the best decision. Apparently neither was having a one-night stand with a ridiculously sexy supervillain, but how was she supposed to know the superhero community gossiped like teenage girls?

Summary
Kayleigh Stone was an average woman. She came from average, working class parents in Wisconsin, and did her best to just simply fit in. She was smart, did well in school, and managed to keep herself involved in at least one sport, mainly to keep her father happy, also to be able to eat incredulous amounts of pizza and not feel the need to pick her body apart.
However, after moving to Chicago and getting a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, and her Master's in Psychology, the world was turned upside down when New York City was attacked by Aliens. After moving as part of the support worker initiative, Kayleigh found herself employed by none other than Stark Industries after an emotional run in with Steve Rogers.
Now that Steve Roger's childhood best friend is part of the mix, it's become Kayleigh's job to try and find the man that HYDRA tried to destroy within his body to create the Winter Soldier. Can she prevail? Or will her characteristically soft heart manage to get in the way?
