Summary
The year is 1991 and summer has once again fallen on the town of Derry. You know what that means for Richie Tozier: sweltering weather, ice cream cones, and lazy afternoons spent reading comics and hanging out with The Losers Club. It also means two uninterrupted months to spend with Eddie Kaspbrak. Two whole months with the astounding, breathtaking, and slightly terrifying boy he’s been in love with for as long as he can remember. Just because IT has gone to sleep for another twenty-seven years doesn't mean Richie Tozier isn't spending every waking moment facing his worst fear: the feelings he shouldn't have (but still does) for his best friend. Every brush of the hand and sideways glance sends him spiraling and a rapid succession of such events leave him wondering…could Eddie somehow like him back?

Summary
“You know, once you do it the first time, it’s really not that big of a deal anymore,” Richie says, his tone comforting. Eddie feels his shoulders relax at his words.
“Sure, but when is that ever going to happen?” Eddie complains, shrugging hopelessly. “People don’t like me as is, I doubt someone would like me enough to want to put their mouth anywhere near me.”
“I put my mouth near you all the time,” Richie replies, then pulls a sour face like he wants to suck the words back in.
