Nell'anno 843 Amelia si unisce al Corpo di Ricerca decisa a realizzare i propri sogni ed entra nella squadra di Erwin Smith, un uomo che nasconde le sue ambizioni dietro la maschera del soldato votato alla salvezza del genere umano.
