Summary
(Mo Ran was not usually one to make decisions out of preserving his pride, that was his huffy little disciple’s field—but he decides in this moment in time that there was no way he was going to let Chu Wanning know that his shizun was so incompetent as to have been caught off-guard and cursed. No, his disciple already had no respect for him; this would only further cement that low opinion of him.
He raises both his hands in appeasement and tries to wrack his brain with a convincing lie on the spot, “I have permission to be here! I…I’m…your shizun’s cousin. From his mother's side.”)
In which Mo Ran gets cursed to temporarily becoming 15 again, and figures out a few heartbreaking things about his disciple, Chu Wanning, as he lies through his teeth about his identity.
