Summary
When Viktor has a cat hair based mishap in the lab while Jayce is out, the hexcore does something unexpected and transforms Viktor into a cat. Stunned and frightened, Viktor goes looking for Jayce, who finds him hurt and meowing at the door of the lab’s main building. Thank Viktor’s lucky stars for Jayce’s bleeding heart, because he now finds himself well taken care of in Jayce’s warm, safe apartment. Though soon enough he finds out this form is only temporary, as is his being human, much sooner after that.

Viktor’s voice was nothing but a weak whisper, broken and terrified, yet it cut through every other sound in Jayce’s mind and nothing but silence remained. Jayce blinked a few times as finally, the right words settled on his tongue for him to say.

“What am I supposed to do now?” He asked the mage, reaching his hand to hover over Jayce’s cheek. His warm eyes bored into VIktor’s own, opening up his ribcage to take his rightful home in him right alongside Viktor’s heart. An inseparable piece of everything Viktor adored about Jayce.
“You will make the right decision,” He said, and Viktor doubted him.
“How will I know?” Viktor looked back at the mage, getting a soft smile instead of a verbal response.

Summary
Jayce is 34 and got his dreamjob a year ago, getting to teach French Literature in the university he once studied. It's extraordinary, he loves teaching and his thirst for knowledge is as fresh as the day he had first stepped into it. However, he is beggining to realize his dreamjob also envolves a lot of mindless bureaucracy and power struggles with his more tenured colleagues, which are particularly hard when you're a brazilian immigrant and they still see you as a talented but stubborn 25 year old PhD student.

Jayce wanted to pull Viktor behind him and face the intruder down himself, but Viktor was in full scientist mode and would not be deterred even if Jayce tried. A hesitant hand reached forward, Jayce watching as Viktor brushed over the large golden gear screwed tight to the inside of the man’s knee. Breathlessly, he said, “We match.”
Jayce watched his own eyes soften, expression momentarily twitching in pain as he leaned on his hammer and lowered himself into a crouch. With his free hand, he gently gripped Viktor’s chin with his thumb and forefinger. “I never thought I’d get to see you like this again, Viktor.”

Summary
A hundred-year sleep and a complete loss of memory aren’t enough to keep Link from finishing the job he’d left undone. The Calamity is sealed. The worst is over. They’ve even managed to come out of this ordeal without grievous injury, Link and the princess both—even Ganondorf, whose survival should have been impossible.
They’re here now, though, and safe. But as Link very quickly comes to understand, safe doesn’t necessarily mean whole.
His head’s a jumbled up mess these days, but he’s determined to push through it all the same, to figure out this whole After situation. It’s just, getting swept up in Ganon’s very intense presence isn’t really conducive to him thinking straight…
Because the thing is, no matter how hard Link had laughed earlier, no matter how relieved he is that this whole mess is finally over, he still hasn’t shaken that itch in the back of his mind. The hole in his memories is still there, demanding his attention as much as it ever has. The hurry voice isn’t gone. It’s only changed, urging him now to remember instead.
