Summary

Summary
At a young age, Midoriya Izuku loses someone very close to him. After the experience he spends some time searching himself and sorting out his head. He decides to spit in the face of adversity, and challenge the world of heroism, albeit quirkless, at least... to his knowledge. He is determined to move on, and be the hero who will prevent the same tragedy from happening to others. He is still the kind boy he once was, but every now and then, he slips up and shows glimpses of his grief. Slowly, ever so slowly, eating away.
Or the fic where I try to turn Izuku's "dream", into a "conviction". and give him the powers to go through with it! >:)

Midoriya Izuku gave up his dream of becoming a hero a long time ago, and not long after, realized how corrupted society was. In a world where quirks were the basis of everything, he didn't stand a chance, instead opting to provide for his mom and live a normal life.
Now, if only everybody would stop pestering him to be a hero!
