Summary
Jisung meets Minho on a hot summer morning, the July sun unforgiving outside.
Walking into the diner makes Jisung feel like he is being sent back in time — to a time when he wasn’t born at all, but also to all those days in his childhood when he would come here with his parents. The checkered floors remain the same, the pink leather booths as shiny as he remembers them being; nostalgia stirs in his chest as the waiters skate past him, effortlessly balancing trays full of food on skilled hands.
Mel’s Diner is as pink and cozy as he remembers it being.
“Hi, welcome to Mel’s Diner!” the waiter in their signature pink uniform and white skates greets cheerfully. “What can I help you with today?”
When their eyes meet and Jisung is faced with the most beautiful man he has ever seen, he doesn't expect his life to change the way it does.

Summary
No amount of alcohol could compare to the buzz on his skin where Minho had firmly pressed into his wrist, the sensitivity of the area abnormally intense. He lets out a whimper as he pulls the jacket towards his nose, the smell infinitely more captivating than any cologne. Even with the haze surrounding his senses, Jisung is aware that this isn’t typical behavior.
However, that doesn’t halt his actions as he presses into where Minho’s scent glands grazed the coat. A volcano has swept over him, dulling his cognitive thoughts and leaving him defenseless against his instincts. Warmth permeates through him as he thinks about Minho’s soft voice, his pretty onyx eyes, his numerous prominent veins.
Minho’s omega will be so lucky, Jisung ponders. Suddenly, Jisung feels as though he’s stumbled into the freezing ocean. The previous feverish feeling is consumed by unease. And that will never be me.

The sweetness in the summer air is redolent of childhood, of carefree laughter and dripping sweat and slapping footsteps. Of wispy yellowing grass, of sticky red berries, of lethargic orange tabbies.
“Guess who’s back,” Jisung shoots for nonchalant but his resulting grin is tenuous at best. “Surprise?”

Summary
It doesn’t start like this, with Minho standing in a sleeping Han Jisung’s room in the middle of the night, carefully rubbing the scent glands in his wrists over every inch of it. No, it starts when Jisung bumps into Minho at his favorite coffee shop and makes him spill his iced americano all over himself. Minho, already plotting murder in his head, looks up, locks eyes with a nervously stuttering Jisung, and falls head over heels in love.
Jisung is perfect in every way, from the way he frantically waves his hands in apology to the way he turns bright red and completely loses his train of thought when Minho smiles his gentlest smile at him. He buys Minho another drink without prompting and even offers to dry clean Minho’s coffee-stained hoodie (which clearly has never been in the vicinity of a dry cleaner in its life). Minho is besotted. There’s only one problem: Han Jisung is an alpha.
Or: Minho takes matters into his own hands.
