Summary
In February of 2017, after helping defeat his rival’s former therapist, Akechi Goro woke up convinced both he and Akira’s lives would be better off if they had nothing to do with each other. Knowing how poorly that idea would go over with the other boy, Akechi left Tokyo and left his rival thinking he was dead.
He was determined never to reach out to Akira again.
He lasted four years.

Summary
Several months after reverting the world back to it’s original reality, Akira finds himself miserable back in his hometown. His parents are never around, his classmates want nothing to do with him, and confiding in his friends back in Tokyo requires a level of vulnerability he’s not sure he could ever achieve. Convinced moving back to Tokyo will solve all of his problems, he resigned himself to wait out the remaining time until graduation. Then a former detective walked into his after school job.
