Summary
That’s the part he likes. The shivers he feels become breath dancing across his skin—Kuroo’s or his own, he isn’t sure. The skin crawling sensation folds into the feeling of Kuroo’s skin on his, fingertips dancing across the surface or palms pushing into his muscles. He is still exhausted; they both are. He is still out of breath; somehow Kuroo isn’t. But he doesn’t have to latch onto any lifeline he can to pull that air into his lungs. He is calm, and Kuroo is there.
And Lev’s voice calls out somewhere in the gym, "Kenma! You have asthma?"

Summary
Kuroo’s always understood Kenma’s need for space—but lately, the silence between them feels heavier than usual. Texts go unanswered. Game nights are canceled. Even Bokuto is starting to notice something’s wrong.
At first, Kuroo waits. But as the weeks drag on and Kenma keeps slipping further away, Kuroo’s patience begins to fray. He doesn't want to push—but he also can't keep pretending everything is fine.
He pulls out a scrap of paper, scribbles a note against the wall with the back of the receipt.
We don’t have to talk. Just let me know you’re okay. It’s late when his phone buzzes. Kuroo’s half-asleep on the couch, blanket tangled around his legs.
Kenma: thx
Kuroo: anytime, reallyAnd then—nothing. No typing bubbles. No follow-up. Just silence.
Kenma said 'thanks.'
But he didn’t say he’s okay.Bookmarked by Itsalls

Summary
“Hey,” Kenma murmurs, “do you trust me?”
“What?” Kuroo replies. He does—wholly and implicitly—trust Kenma with his life. He furrows his eyebrows at the question though, because why would Kenma be asking that now? “Of course I do.”
“We’ll meet you at headquarters,” Kenma says to Oikawa, reaching up to Kuroo’s face and flipping his in-ear off. The beginning of Oikawa’s protests get cut off and the sudden silence is jarring. Kenma pulls back, doing the same fiddling with his own in-ear before smiling. It’s a small, timid gesture, but it’s everything.
“Pi—”
“Follow me.” Kenma takes a step towards the door before glancing back. “…Stay close, okay?”
or,
in which an elusive hacker shows up at headquarters one day (ominously) and kuroo falls in love with him (obviously)

Summary
Kuroo exhaled slowly, the kind of breath that carries no weight but still feels necessary. His spine ached in three places. His eyes burned. He tried to remember something beautiful about the day—maybe the way the gym lights caught the dust during practice, or the sound of sneakers squeaking on polished wood—but the memory didn’t rise. Just paperwork. Sponsorship decks. A coach yelling into his phone. A player with a twisted ankle. Apologies. Smiles. Endless scheduling.
He rubbed his temples with the pads of his fingers, then leaned back again. His reflection in the window looked like someone he might have passed in the hallway and forgotten to say hello to. He felt transparent. Not in a sad way—just in the way that paper left in the rain becomes too soft to hold its shape.
(In which Kuroo has the worst housing crisis of his life, is way too used to concealing his feelings, and maybe doesn't need the spare room after all.)
