Needing some aid for his insomnia following the Starcourt Mall fire, Steve Harrington pays a visit to the known Hawkins dealer and former schoolmate Eddie Munson. There's a perfectly logical explanation as to why he ends up on his knees trying to get in the guy's pants. What baffles him is getting rejected and asked to leave.
Meanwhile, Eddie's having an existential crisis while trying to be a decent human being.
When Steve shows up on his doorstep again, they have to get through whole layers of misunderstandings about what really happened that night before they can finally have some fun time together. -

Julie flicks her gaze between the two men, grinning slyly to herself before demanding, “You two should kiss.”
Eddie freezes, not daring to make a sound for fear of giving himself away. Steve blinks at her, confused, head tilted to the side like a golden retriever, voice rough as he asks, “Wait, what?”
“Kiss him, Steve,” she insists. “It’d be so hot.”
Steve sits up, kneeling on the bed as he looks over at Eddie. His pupils are blown with arousal, lips pink from kissing, and he looks like something straight out of Eddie’s wildest dreams.

In his defense, Eddie doesn’t have sufficient time to mentally prepare himself for what it would actually be like to kiss Steve.
