Now that he thought about it, he really should’ve just kept walking, what a mistake this was.
Another body was extra weight, another life to look after, another mouth to feed- he had every right to be selfish given the current state of the world right now.
But here he was trekking down a deserted highway that was littered with empty cars- some where still running with the windows blown out and the doors swung open- with a complete stranger following him around like some lost puppy.
They were lost, unfortunately.
—-Or, Levi and Hange find each other after the world goes to shit.

Summary
Marine Biologist Hange Zoe has spent the last ten summers of her life documenting the life and ecology of Paradis Isle. This particular summer, as soon as she arrives, she begins to notice signs that something is off. There is another presence on her island, though she can't seem to catch them. Then she gets swept out to sea, her life is saved by a stranger, and everything changes.
