Summary
The gospel begins in sin.
A collection of unsanctioned verses chronicling Rook’s devotion to Neve Gallus, mage, detective, and the only woman who can make her forget there are Templars nearby. Expect ritual misconduct, holy spaces used incorrectly, and Neve saying “Rook. No.” with increasing frequency, often while actively participating. Though she insists she is not encouraging this behavior, Neve contributes extensively to the blasphemy through deliberate silences and dangerous permissions. Her attempts to correct Rook often result in additional blasphemies, committed with greater precision and significantly less deniability.
If the Maker objects, He may file a complaint.

Summary
After the war with the gods ended and the world set about the slow work of rebuilding what had been broken, Rook found herself with a journal, a past she could no longer outrun, and a future she never expected to survive long enough to have.
This testament chronicles the road that led her there: from Crow training and exile, through violence and survival, to the quiet, stubborn devotion she found in Docktown. It is written in the pages of a journal gifted by Neve Gallus, who meant it as a kindness and did not yet know what it would hold.
Along the way, the margins fill with commentary from Neve herself, equal parts correction, concern, and care, as a life is slowly written not just in ink, but in love.

Summary
This is a gospel of deeply unauthorized canticles written by Lastra “Rook” de Riva, chronicling the life that happened after the world was saved. These verses wander freely through time and memory. Some are heavy with old scars, some soft with ordinary joy, some soaked in devotion that absolutely was not cleared by the Chantry. And some are just flat out hilarious.
The setting is Docktown, home of a detective agency that may not be saving Thedas or even Minrathous, but is still making a difference in Docktown, one bonkers case at a time. Expect side quests that get out of hand, companions with opinions, friendships forged in shared chaos, blasphemous smut, and the beauty found in the ordinary days between disasters.
Each verse can be read on its own. Sometimes a continuation hops to another Canticle. Together, they form a single crooked story about survival, found family, feral love, and the quiet, holy work of choosing each other.
There will be blasphemy. There will be tenderness. There will be chaos. There will be footnotes, marginal threats, and editorial disputes. Somewhere later, it will hurt. Deeply. On purpose. With love.

Summary
Rana had only been a Templar for a week before meeting Neve Gallus. Sure, she had heard of the other woman before - the whispers about a shadowy detective killing Venatori and helping the people of Dock Town were only getting more frequent. Still, the woman herself wasn’t what she expected.

Summary
"Rook could see how every case took its toll, even the simple ones. Not only that, but each one seemed to bleed into the next, until it felt like Neve was constantly chasing a finish line that kept moving farther and farther away.
[...]
And deep, deep, deep down, she trusted that Neve knew this wasn’t sustainable. That, sooner or later, she’d fall sick - or, Maker forbid, make a terrible mistake - and then where would she be?"Title from Sia's song: Soon We'll Be Found

Summary
"Neve kept a few back pages of the active notebook for the cold cases, the what if and the maybe cases, and Kione Mercar ended up making her way into that part of the book. There were just other things to focus on. Dock Town rolled on. There were always more problems. More people in trouble. More jobs that skittered sideways and sometimes fell straight off a cliff."
A POV shift on the main story of the game that answers the truly pressing question of: What if we just made Neve Gallus the main character of Veilguard?
