Summary

With no way to leave, the Doctor must find a way to survive and restore his ship while also investigating the mystery brewing. As he searches for answers, he unexpectedly runs into the very last person in the universe he expected to see: a man he thought was long dead.

“That’s what you have in mind,” the Master says. “Take wonderful Donna and her boyfriend on a tour of the stars, and I’ll tag along too and not do anything nasty. You’ll fix me, will you? Doctor, you are funny.”
The Doctor is supposed to die, or so say the Ood. But maybe there’s another way, a way to save everyone including himself. Or: the story of when the tenth Doctor saved the Master and Donna but accidentally gave them a psychic link, and they all went to space with the world’s best fiancé (that’s Shaun).

The ache is growing exponentially, hot, throbbing pain expanding like a flame to every nerve and muscle in the Doctor's body, and for some reason the worst of it is concentrating in his groin. “This isn't happening.”

An alternate ending to The End of Time where Rassilon gets his way and the Doctor is put on trial for crimes he'd yet to commit as far as the High Council was concerned. And, as expected, the Master has something to gain from the situation.
