Carl wanted to be angry. He so desperately wanted to be angry. With the Governor for destroying his home. With Daryl for stealing food all those years ago. With his father for never coming back from the hospital. With Shane for hitting Lori and allowing Judith to... disappear.
But those people are dead, and Carl is numb.

Summary
After a horde of walkers flood the highway, both Carl and Sophia are lost in the woods. Despite weeks and months of furious searching, the only trace of them to be found is Sophia's doll, abandoned on the side of the river. Eventually, their group has to conclude that the most likely scenario is that both children are dead.
Carl and Sophia, however, are fighters. Five years later, they prove everybody wrong and appear in the heart of Virginia.
