Lisbon couldn’t keep the shock out of her voice. Did she hear him right? Was this guy coming onto her? Seriously? After making fun of her or making her uncomfortable for an entire month every time he saw her, he had the audacity of trying to ask her for her number?
“I don’t know who the fuck you think you are, Mr. Jane, but no. Thank you for taking care of my cat, but that doesn’t give you the right to my number.”
or,Lisbon's cat keeps somehow escaping her apartment and going into her (annoying) neighbor's home, forcing them to keep interacting.

A complicated case creates new feelings for Jane and Lisbon when they have to go undercover as a couple in attempt to catch a criminal trio in the act. They have no idea how long they are going to have to keep up the pretence for and she's worried that allowing him that close to her could pose problems. However, she isn't going to say no to Abbott and this is her job after all.
