“Oh mistletoe! You’re standing under the mistletoe!” Helen sqwelled. Thomas looked up and sure enough there was a bright green strand of mistletoe hanging from the ceiling. Thomas could feel his cheeks grow hot as he looked from Helen to Newt and back again.

As the days go by, their relationship unfolds into something unexpected. Just as things get begin to pan out for Newts benefit a tragedy hits. Leaving Newt and Thomas in a rough area. As Newt attempts to carry on life as normal, he struggles to find acceptance from his the others at school and with only Thomas, Teresa, Alby, and Aris being the only ones who truly understand. Will Newt be able to make it? Or will he give up and become one more tragedy.
