Summary
Regulus should have known better. He shouldn’t have given Sirius the ability to key people into the wards of Grimmauld Place. He shouldn’t have been shocked that Sirius’ stupid friend would sneak up on him, even though said stupid friend is unbelievably tall and muscular and should make a lot of sound but is surprisingly light on his feet. He shouldn’t have been in the greenhouse behind Grimmauld Place with his new potion ingredient but Sirius wasn’t even home so he should have been safe and alone.
Regulus should have known by now that nothing ever goes his way.

Summary
Soulmates. No person with a rational bone in their body would believe in such a stupid concept. Regulus Black certainly doesn’t, so he only scoffs when his brother gifts him a plant that should bring him into the path of his true love on the day it blooms. What a load of rubbish, right?
Then a gorgeous, kind vet arrives on the scene like a knight in shining armor to aid Regulus in his darkest hour, forcing him to question his long-held assumptions.
But even if this James Potter turns out to be his soulmate, or just a decent guy worth his time… does it matter when Regulus is hell-bent on escaping his fate?
