This is amazingly well written! I love how you turn the entire narrative on its head when we get to see the world from Sasuke’s perspective and get to see how he thinks and feels and what his reasons are for acting the way he does. This story is honestly an inspiration!
And omg I’m so attached to it, and to all the characters 😩❤️ I shouldn’t be reading this in the middle of the night, I should be sleeping to prepare for my uni classes tomorrow morning, but yet here we are lol

Summary
Others are starting to notice that there's something off between Naruto and Kakashi. Shikamaru corners the blond, thinking the worst. Naruto realizes he's punishing more than just himself and decides to actually talk to Kakashi about it. The results don't make things less complicated but maybe they're a bit better.
Shikamaru doesn't mince words. “If Kakashi isn't treating you right you don’t have to put up with it. Sakura and I could talk to him…get you reassigned or something,” he explains with stern but protective eyes.
Naruto chokes on his lunch, coughing and pounding his chest to clear his throat. “No!” He shouts, finally finding his voice. “He’s…no, you got it all wrong he’s…fine.”
Shikamaru quirks an eyebrow. “Fine?”

Summary

His long, muscular body is on full display and he lets the alpha’s eyes rake over him. “Tell me,” Naruto snaps. Part one of The Arrangement. Naruto needs to make a decision, and Kakashi has to make peace with a few choices of his own.
Kakashi frowns behind his mask. “I’ve decided who to assign to you, but I want you to know you can reject my selection and no one else would know. There’s…a list, and if you want you could choose from it.”
“No,” Naruto answers sharply. He tells himself it doesn’t matter who it is and having to choose would be so much worse. He’s going to hate the arrangement, regardless, so it doesn’t matter. “I don’t want to see the list, just—just tell me who it is, alright?” His face is red from anger and embarrassment, but he stares at his Hokage as if he’s awaiting mission critical orders.
The older ninja hesitates for only a second, but finally answers. “I’m going to do it.”
