My [A] husband's [B] scent is words and lots of love for me.
this is a bragging post because someone asked me about this.
my husband has always been very sweet. he is a beta with beta parents, so he has no clue how alphas and omegas are. we have gone through rough patches, of course, but not all of those are related to our secondary gender. sometimes i am asshole, or he is asshole, or we are both asshole. is life.

Summary
London, 1887. Shane Hollander has arrived in England as the first Korean ambassador to take formal residence in the capital, carrying impeccable French, a diplomat's iron composure, and a private ledger of debts he intends to collect from a city that has already decided what it thinks of him.
He meets the Earl of Vashenkov at Lady Ashworth's autumn ball. The Earl has old eyes. He has been patient since before the empire Shane represents had a name. He has been waiting, specifically, for something like this.
Shane notices everything. He notices the cold. He notices that he keeps going back.
A gothic romance concerning hunger of more than one variety, the specific cruelty of being known completely by the wrong person, and what it means to choose, with full information and open eyes, to stay. -

Lately, playing hockey wasn't even as much fun as it used to be. Games were always the highlight, but even that, it didn’t feel as good since his team had been falling apart.
And all that because he came out as gay.
He didn’t really fault them for taking some time to accept it, so Shane let them talk. If that helped them digest the news, so be it.
He let them distance themselves from him, let them gossip around to other teams, let them make him the butt of jokes he didn’t understand.Shane didn’t mind, all things considered.
Everything was fine.

Summary
In 2022, Ilya wakes up in a hospital in Ottawa with no memory of how he got there. He has hazy recollections of 2015, but he can't remember anything about the past seven years. He is shocked to learn he is now married to Shane Hollander, a fact that forces him to reconcile the decisions of his past self with the expectations he inherited from his father.
--“I have this for you.” Hollander reached into his pocket, pulling out something gold, glinting under the cold hospital lighting. Holding his fist out, Hollander unfurled his hand, and the bottom fell out of Ilya’s heart, cratering through his stomach and spilling onto the floor.
Shane Hollander stood before him, palm outstretched, cradling Irina Rozanova’s golden crucifix.
Ilya flinched back, like he had been burned. Hollander’s warmth had moved too close, too fast, morphing into a threat and a violation. Hollander should not have that cross.

Summary
“We’ve made a trade,” Coach announces. “For Shane Hollander.”
It’s like the ground drops out from beneath Ilya, and his heart falls from his chest. It tumbles past rock bottom, down to the cavern that shattered open inside of him on that night five years ago. The night when Ilya walked away from Hollander for the last time.
He can’t breathe.
(Or: Shane doesn’t get hurt, they break up, and they don’t talk for five long years. Until Shane is traded to Ottawa.)
