Summary
phersu: meaning 'mask,’ ‘masked man,’ or ‘actor.’
Just under two thousand years ago, long before Crowley and Aziraphale raised the believed-Antichrist together, Aziraphale is tasked to influence a young boy toward good: the future Emperor Nero. Crowley can’t help but linger and do some influencing of his own.

See the gouges of land wrenched apart by the rolling heat beneath, leaving gaping wounds in the earth, a brackish spit of water threading through the very depths of them. We retread this conversation every year.

Summary
Original summary: It was an accident--a mistake. A chemical reaction, spurred by impulsiveness and driven by passion and stupidity. But neither one of them can stop, and now Jacob is making it even deeper and dragging Edward down with him. -Edward/Jacob; Eclipse rewrite-
Importing my very first novel-length fic to AO3 because, despite it obviously being written by a teenager who hadn't dated much, I have a soft spot for the art we all make along the way to becoming great artists.

In Mixed Company, or the Corporate Retreat of Heaven and Hell by TheOldAquarian

Summary
Every 300 years, Heaven and Hell share a company retreat on Earth during which angels and demons temporarily surrender their celestial powers.
Officially, it’s a time for fostering team unity and better understanding the needs of the client base. It’s definitely not a time for terrorizing the hotel staff with divine/diabolical showdowns, abusing the ethereal expense account, or furiously snogging your hereditary enemy. But when Aziraphale and Crowley are up for promotion, Hell breaks loose and Heaven might just break free.

Summary
“Hold on. Hold on,” he hissed, going stiff under Aziraphale’s hands. “Are you— did you— what are you doing? Do you know what you’re doing?”
“I’m playing with your hair, dearie.”
“Yes, yes, I noticed,” croaked Crowley, and he slid right out of Aziraphale’s lap and into a shellshocked sprawl on the floor at his feet.

So Softe(tm)!! Can't be 'marked without delightful areyougonnabe.tumblr snippet:
The fifth time Crowley came by after dinner, he put his feet up on the sofa and leaned his head against its arm, and began to tap and scroll endlessly on his phone. Aziraphale absorbed himself in a fascinating little travelogue of 16th-century Safed by a Persian rabbi that he’d uncovered, keeping an eye out for mentions of himself. When he finished the book, quite put out that the little apothecary he’d run there for a decade hadn’t been written up at all, he looked up to find Crowley dead asleep. One long black-sheathed arm hung down over the side of the sofa, the phone having slipped onto the rug below.Aziraphale allowed himself a private moment of celebration. He vibrated happily in his seat, making sure not to make any noise that might disturb the demon’s slumber.
Huzzah! One run for Team Aziraphale! he thought, thinking vaguely of single-wicket cricket, which he had been a great supporter of for a period in the 1770s despite not understanding a single rule.
In the morning, Crowley yawned and stretched in the soft light, his hair mussed in an intensely stupid way. How did he always make looking bad look so good?
“Sleep well?”
“Bizarrely, yes,” said Crowley, “despite this sofa having as many lumps as an elderly Labrador Retriever.”

Using the wonderful words of acclaimed writer, actor and allround know it all (I mean that in the best of ways) Stephen Fry I have created this kinetic typography animation. If you like what you hear you can download the rest of the audio file from Mr. Fry's website. stephenfry.com and then go to the audio and video section at the top of the page and look for the file entitled language. You can also find the file on iTunes by searching the name 'Stephen Fry's Podgrams'.I loved this particular essay on language and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to make my first kinetic typography video. I hope you like it and even if you dont I would like to heard what you think in the comments section. Also I know that at points the audio does not match the text so you do not have to write that. It is because I copied the transcript off of Stephen's website and it was not 100% exactly what he said and i did not notice until I was well underway. However these cases are few and far between.
