Summary
When Simon wakes up in a completely different environment, he's not expecting that he actually survived. He's not expecting the doctor dressed in too-colorful clothes either, but he comes to appreciate it all sooner rather than later.
Grace was not expecting to ever have human company again, but one day, the Eridians find a human out in space and bring him home.
They've both been traumatized, they're both fucked up, and together they learn how to live again, falling in love along the way and doing everything in the wrong order, but it works for them all the same.
Or: Another Simon appears mysteriously and survives then falls in love with Grace fic, with lots of crying, and loving, and eventually kissing.

Summary
When they were younger, Ballister and Ambrosius would sneak out and train under the predawn light. They would climb to the roof and discuss monsters. Did the beasts wear armor? Would it have the same weaknesses as the ones the knight's wore?
The night of the Queen’s death, Ambrosius finds himself alone.
“At the top floor, he pushed upon the door to the roof, welcoming the cool night air on his skin. Before him, he could gaze upon the imposing figure of Gloreth’s statue.
She had vanished monsters.
And Ambrosius could barely summon the strength to wield his own sword.
Down below in the city, people were stuttering windows, hanging black fabric outside them in mourning. The ever present billboards and neon signs were turning dark. He thought of Ballister roaming those dark streets, delirious from blood loss, hurting, lost and alone.
Ambrosius leaned against the rail and tried his best not to cry.”

After the events of the movie, Ballister’s whole world is turned upside down. He has a lot to think about and a lot to process. Everything he worked for, everything he believed in, is gone.
