Izuku kept a straight face even as his stomach turned, trying to choke him from the inside.
"Kacchan is back?"
Todoroki blinked in silence, reassessing what he had probably assumed was shared information between the two of them.
"Yes." He said. "There was a welcome back thing, I was actually surprised you weren't there."
It was pretty clear why he had not been there.
They had drifted. That was the right word for it: Drifted.***
When a UA student goes missing, GEMGD Agency gets assigned to his rescue, with Katsuki leading the operation and Izuku appointed as faculty expert. Now forced to work together, the feelings Katsuki thought he had buried resurface in the most unhealthy way possible.
"Are you sleeping with him?"
"So I'm sleeping with him, Mina. Why the fuck do you care?"
"Tell me how this is different, Katsuki. Tell me how drinking until you pass out, training past your limit, taking every patrol shift available is different from three years ago, because from where I'm standing it looks exactly the same. Except now there's also this." -

Truth was, Katsuki didn’t have time for any of this shit.
He didn’t have time for awkward flirting in bars or getting dragged through dating apps by his friends or pretending he knew how normal people met each other anymore. One-night stands required effort, relationships required time, and Katsuki had neither of those things, which is the real reason why he had agreed to this insane idea.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He said, in a last-ditch effort to preserve his dignity, even though he had been caught red-handed staring, even though he had a furious and noticeable hard-on stretching his sweats.
“You don’t?” Izuku took a step backwards, widening the distance between them. “Then, why are you here?”
Katsuki dry-swallowed as his throat constricted, his body drawn by Izuku's magnetic pull right in front of him, making him take a step forward. “I don’t know.”
“Come on, Kacchan.” Izuku’s hand slid down between his thick legs, stroking his inner thigh and slipping into his shorts, lifting the fabric just a couple of inches and revealing the smooth skin stretched taut over his strong muscles. “Don’t you wanna see more?”OR
Midoriya Izuku wears shorts to the gym and his thighs are dripping in sweat. Bakugou Katsuki is just a man.

It happened when he was six years old, on the back stairs of the gymnasium during a stupid primary school festival dance.
