Summary
Kon-el's entry into the Royal Family is an upset. He changes the hierarchy and whispers that he could assassination the Crown Prince Jon roam the castle halls.
Kon's also 13 and desperately trying to find his place in the viperous world of the royal court. He's hoping that training a taur, a wild and whipsmart colt from the Drake stables, will be just the thing to show everyone he's someone to be taken seriously.
But taurs are not easy creatures to handle. They are strong and smart and not willing to be led by the weak-willed. His father Kal-El might have the strongest bond in the kingdom with his taur, Bruce, but that's no guarantee Kon will too.

Summary
If it had not been known that Shadow was the cure for humanity's illnesses, the answer to immortality, then perhaps the scientists for G.U.N would have gone further in their experimentation. As it was, the studies that were being done were more focused on bio-weaponry than anything else, so their limitations were not questioned.
Gerald feels close to God himself, but Shadow meets his Madonna.
