Summary
Like any respectable Dragonlord, Ajaw’s contract with Kinich was written to clearly favor himself. This meant in its endless pages of legal jargon, it hid a loophole: Ajaw needed a body, and it would come from Kinich. Only an ignoramus would assume this meant Ajaw would claim Kinich’s body after he died (no matter how much he might have implied that).
After all, why should Ajaw wait until Kinich dies if he’s the best part about living? Truly, K’uhul Ajaw is the wisest and most powerful of all Dragonlords, a shining beacon of virtue amidst the filth of Natlan’s dullards who should all endeavor to prostrate themselves before his superior cunning and intellect, etc., etc.
Of course, the real process for receiving a body involves Ajaw becoming a master tattoo artist. Oh, and fucking Kinich within an inch of his life, because Ajaw.

Can't believe I almost didn't read this, only for it to turn out to be the most beautiful piece of literature I’ve ever come across. The way everything was described is my favorite thing ever. I love the atmosphere this fic created, I love the adventures these two went on, I love the plot, the ANGST (the amount of times I cried to this😭), the character developments, I love every little things about this fic, and I especially LOVE Bakugou Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku of Ise!! I'm not someone who usually writes out my thoughts, but I really can't pass up the chance to say how much I love this fic(TT). This isn't my first bkdk fic and it definitely won’t be my last, but this ONE will have a special place in my heart forever<3. Thank you, author, for this masterpiece🥹💗 please give it a read guys, it's so worth it!

The pirate nodded and quickly left the cabin, leaving Wriothesley alone with the beautiful creature cowering from him. Wriothesley carefully stepped a bit closer and squatted in front of the silver-haired beauty, in arm’s reach. The latter was breathing so quickly now that the pirate captain feared he would hyperventilate. His gorgeous eyes were wide open with fear, and he was pushing himself against the wall, trying to put more distance between the two.
“I don’t know if ye can understand me, but don’t be scared, I won’t hurt ye,” said Wriothesley in a soothing voice.
The creature’s eyes were roaming all over his face, but he did not give any indication that he could understand his words. He seemed still as wary of Wriothesley, weakly tugging at his restraints to try to free himself.

Captain Wriothesley was used to how eventful life could be on the high seas. He had seen his fair share of wonders over the years sailing across the ocean with his crew of pirates, but nothing could have prepared him for the day he would stumble across a wounded and captive merman.
