The door suddenly clicks.
Lu Guang freezes.
A moment later, the door bursts open.
"Morning! I bring—" Qiao Ling's voice cuts through the quiet. She stops mid-sentence, halfway in, eyes locking instantly with his.
The front door faces him directly.
Lu Guang doesn't move. For one second, he stands there under the soft light, pale skin visible between the hem of the jacket and his thighs, hair falling into his eyes. His hand still holds the half-empty glass. His mind blanks out so completely that even his breath forgets to come.

Summary
The tie between Lu Guang's fingers is thin, stretched, already too close to slipping. He doesn’t pull—he just touches.
And it unravels.
The fall of hair is slow. Weightless. The elastic slips down like it's never belonged there. Black strands tumble free and hit Lu Guang’s cheek. It makes him flinch, just barely, even as his fingers stay in the mess of it. And Cheng Xiaoshi freezes.
The pause only lasts a breath, but Lu Guang feels it like a tremor.
"...You did that on purpose?" Cheng Xiaoshi whispers.
Lu Guang doesn’t answer.
Cheng Xiaoshi doesn't wait for an answer. Instead, he reaches up, plucks the fallen hairtie from where it landed near Lu Guang’s head, and flicks it around two fingers.
Then, gently, he slips it over Lu Guang’s wrist.
The band snaps lightly against his skin. Not tight—just snug.
Cheng Xiaoshi grins, his voice rough with heat. “Step one,” he murmurs, barely audible. “I’d tie you to the bed for real one day.”

“Oi ....” A hand lands on Lu Guang’s hip, palm flat and warm. Cheng Xiaoshi leans in, nudging at his nape with his nose. “You look like you just fought a war and lost.”
“...You were the one—” Lu Guang tries, but his voice cracks halfway.
Cheng Xiaoshi grins behind him. “Oh? He speaks.”
Lu Guang shuts his eyes. Tight. His thighs twitch, and Cheng Xiaoshi feels it—of course he does. The way he chuckles low means he’s not sorry. At least not fully.
“...You okay?” Cheng Xiaoshi finally asks it, quieter this time. Fingers slowing on his waist, no longer teasing. Just there. Just real.
Lu Guang doesn’t nod, but his breathing evens. One side of his face rubs lightly against the pillowcase.
There’s stickiness still between his thighs. The kind of leftover heat that makes his body feel too full. Cheng Xiaoshi sighs like he knows what needs doing.
“Don’t move,” he murmurs. Then shifts off the bed.
Lu Guang stays, of course. He wouldn’t be able to sit up even if he wanted to. Not with the way his spine feels like melting glass.
