When Wednesday went to leave the room, Elizabeth refused to move, and the beginning stirrings of anger lit in Wednesday’s chest. Already this morning, she experienced more untold and unnecessary emotions than she had over her break from Nevermore, and she wanted nothing more than to return to her room and decompress in a cold shower.
“Move. I said I was leaving.”
“And you will leave. Once I make something obvious to you, Wednesday Addams. I am Elizabeth Monroe, a powerful and dangerous outcast with more power residing in me than you can dream of. I don’t want to make you an enemy, and I want to have a good relationship with you because my boyfriend considers you a friend.”
Elizabeth leaned closer, her eyes flashing with dangerous intent.
“I’m told you don’t process emotions, nor do you feel them, so let me offer you some advice. Flirting with another girl’s boyfriend is considered bad taste, and I will defend my claim. You had your chance last semester and foolishly chose not to partake when Xavier offered you his heart. I didn’t make the same mistake.”
