Summary
Park Seonghwa has been teaching preschool for 7 years. This year his husband, Kim Hongjoong, is filling in for the music teacher in Seonghwa's building during her 12-week maternity leave. Hongjoong is in a rock band so his style is a bit of a surprise to the elementary school students and teachers, but the kids really end up liking him. Seonghwa wants to keep his personal and professional lives separate, so they don't tell anybody that they are married. Hongjoong can't help but at least flirt with his husband, so the veteran teachers are concerned that this loose cannon is out to break Seonghwa's heart.

Just like he promised, Hongjoong had his homework ready the next day. It was done perfectly and meticulously. Maybe a little too good for a student of Seonghwa’s caliber, but he’ll take it.
He ruffled Hongjoong’s hair and cooed, “See, that wasn’t so hard, was it?”
Hongjoong simply smiled and nodded back. And so he became the perfect pet.

Summary
In a society where hybrids were either fancy pets or alleycats, Seonghwa knew he enjoyed many privileges as a pedigree indoor cat and that the discrimination he faced was nothing compared to what stray catpeople went through. These invisible and forgotten cats would probably give everything they have to get just a mere fraction of the perks he got, but he couldn’t help but think that he’d also give everything he has just to enjoy their apparent freedom just once.
He still felt the slight pang of jealousy as he stared at the clowder of catboys playing in the park, excited screams and meows traveling all the way to the car. Seonghwa had never had the chance to interact with strays before, but they always looked so ...happy and carefree. He yearned to know what that felt like.
He snapped out of his longing daydreams when his attention was momentarily drawn to one of the cats laying on the grass - an orange tabby who was already staring at him by the time their eyes met, intense gaze piercing through him.

Summary
Humanity is on its last legs on the planet that took its revenge for their grandiosity, and the emergence of alphas, betas, and omegas serve to bring it back to what it once was. But the terrain is rugged and severe, not fit for the subgender created for repopulation, and so the government graciously protects them in a tower. They'll never have to worry about survival, just focused on birthing as many future generations as possible.
Seonghwa has a duty, one he knows he can't stray from in a world that demands it of him. But he can't bring himself to follow along mindlessly like all the other omegas his age. He longs for something more, for a freedom he's never had a taste of, and it's not until he stumbles upon a well-kept secret that he finds himself facing the biggest decision of his life.
Remain in the system for safety, but lose himself in the process?
Or, escape his fate through fighting tooth and nail, taking his agency back with the help of an unlikely group of superhumans?
The call of the heart is stronger than any indoctrination, he comes to find.
