Chuuya sipped his wine, the silence of the long emptied apartment weighing heavy on his shoulders while his drunken mind swirled with too many unspoken thoughts, one was bound to slip from his lips without permission, "I think I could love you."
Dazai scoffed, his grip tightening around his glass, "That's a terrible idea, Chibi."
Smiling bitterly, Chuuya nodded and downed the rest before setting the glass down as he moved to stand, "Isn't it, though? You'd be the worst boyfriend."
Despite their words, neither showed the slightest hesitance as Chuuya stepped into already waiting arms.

Summary
"How strange we are before we die," Dazai Laments, staring up at the stars with a distant look in his eyes.
"How so?" His partner's question hangs in the cold air between them.
"Humans fear oblivion and what comes next, but once death comes calling, brushing along their fragile skin, there's an almost disbelief--an ignorance," He reaches a gentle hand out to touch his companion's ivory skin with such care you'd think he were made of porcelain.
"Why do you always speak like you're not?" The boy frowns at the foreign affection, but remains unmoved.
"I wonder if it means anything that I'm convinced I'll have another tomorrow with you. Maybe, even want to."
The red head becomes visibly irritated at being ignored and confused as usual by Dazai's strange way of thinking, "You will, idiot."
Dazai doesn't say another word that night, but that sad smile and faraway look in his eyes never leaves.
