Summary
This story will basically pick up exactly where season two left off. It might be a slow buildup, but it will eventually get rolling. Both the posthumous posse, as well as livings are gonna have to team up if they want to save Simon. As well as themselves, before time runs out. Having the tutelage of a true psychic medium, might put Maddie in the fast lane, but will she spin out if the truth is too much to handle? And will she take everybody with her?

Summary
When Wally types Ready for Homecoming? in the chat box, Maddie's initial reaction is a twinge of irritation. She's certain his next question will be if she minds finishing up their lab report by herself.
Are you? she types back.
Kinda? I was so focused on the game part that I forgot about the dance part lol. I don’t have a date.
Well, he'd better find one. It'll be super awkward if he wins Homecoming King and has to do the spotlight dance alone, and she tells him so.
He takes a long time to respond. Then, Want to come with me? If you don’t have plans
Maddie stares at her computer screen in disbelief. She’s not sure which part is crazier: that Wally Clark just asked her out, or that he did it via a shared Google document.
-----------------Maddie's plan for senior year is simple: keep her head down, her grades up, and focus on getting the hell out of Split River.
Making new friends isn't part of it. Neither is trying new things. Wally Clark- star athlete, most popular boy in school, and now Maddie's lab partner- definitely isn't part of her plan, but she's learning that in both life and science, there are always a few unexpected variables.

Summary
She glances up from writing the author’s purpose in Ode to a Nightingale to see that Wally isn’t circling the examples of auditory, visual, and tactile imagery in the poem like she'd told him to.
He is staring at her.
“What?” she asks.
“Are you coming to the game tonight?”
She raises her eyebrows. But he doesn’t bat an eye, waiting on her expectantly, like he really doesn’t know what her answer will be. She huffs. “Football isn’t really my thing,” she says.
“You don’t want to support me on the field?” he asks, with big, puppy dog eyes.
“I think you get plenty of support on the field.”

Summary
“Look, Maddie, I’ll be honest here.” They’re at a red light now, and Wally takes the opportunity to turn toward her. “I was fishing when I asked if you had a date for the dance, because I was selfishly hoping the answer was no.”
"Wait what? Why were you hoping the answer was no?”
He cocks his head a little, like he can’t believe she hasn’t pieced it together yet. “I was going to ask you myself.”

Or: an AU where Maddie and Wally are both alive and they go to homecoming together.

Summary
Uh,” he said, pausing in the doorway. “Is this Pre-Calc?”
Only one other person was in the room — a girl, sitting at a desk in the back corner, casually flipping through a worn paperback and sipping what looked suspiciously like cold coffee from a water bottle.
“Nope,” she said, not even looking up. “This is a classroom with the lights off and no teacher in sight. Try again.”

Summary
By the time Wally Clark gets to high school, he has all but given up on the possibility of having a soulmate. He had never gotten a single bruise that didn't belong to him unlike everyone else in his life. But then he died, and 32 years later the universe finally decided that he did have a perfect match out there actually- one that he would never get the chance to meet. Or so he thought. Aka a Mally soulmate AU that has been rattling around my brain.
