Izuku, of all people, should not be allowed to lie on top of him. He’s not the only one who saw Kacchan dead. He wasn’t even there when it happened; he arrived in the aftermath, saw Best Jeanist and Edgeshot stitching him back up, saw that they were beginning to lose hope, saw Kacchan lying there. On the ground. Lifeless.
Lifeless.
It was like Izuku himself had been the one cut straight through the heart.
He doesn’t know how he would have carried on after the war if Kacchan hadn’t made it through with him.
