“What are you doing here?”
“Couldn’t sleep,” James said with a grin, flashing straight, white teeth. “Decided to take a midnight stroll. You?”
“Could you stroll in any other part of the campus?” Regulus responded.
“Oh,” James murmured, smile faltering. “Well, I didn’t mean to intrude. I didn’t know you would be here, and I heard you playing and it was really, very good.”
“Wonderful,” he said, voice dry. “Now if you would be so kind and leave.”
“Can I listen?” James blurted. His nose scrunched after the words left his lips, and he reached up to scrub his fingers at the skin just beneath his eyes, behind the lenses of his round-rimmed glasses.
“No.”

Summary

Unfortunately, his graduation internship with the University of Georgia sports media team means he’s spending every waking moment covering the football season of a lifetime — and shadowing Heisman frontrunner James Potter, who is charming, golden, and absolutely not Regulus’s problem.

James gently cupped Regulus’ face in his hands, taking a moment to caress the male’s cheekbone and smiled fondly. “How is it so easy for you to be kind to people?” He asked curiously, raising an eyebrow.
Regulus let out a quiet laugh and looked at James with a soft gaze, taking a soft breath. “Because people have not been kind to me,” he admitted with a soft shrug.or, Sirius and Regulus both escape 12 Grimmauld Place and live with the Potter's until they graduate Hogwarts. Living with the Potter's helps Regulus get closer to the family and build a friendship with James Potter. A friendship that could be so much more

Summary
Everyone is born with a soulmark on their forearm, about a sentence long. The sentence is what your soulmate was doing the first time your souls meet; the first time you touch, skin to skin. After you meet, the words change into your soulmate's name.
James loves the concept of soulmates, but has always dreaded meeting his.
Regulus had expected a different type of meeting the first time he read the way he met his soulmate, but he supposes this was fine as well.
