Summary

“What the fuck, Buck?” Eddie actually said it out loud this time.
“Wow, good to know!” Hen laughed.
“How are you so informed on the market for cock cages?” Chim asked.
“Fucking hell,” Eddie muttered, scrubbing his hands over his face, in complete disbelief at this conversation even happening.
“How do you even know they’re called cock cages?” Buck countered.
“Local sex shop sold a bunch of faulty ones about six years ago,” Hen said. “We had to cut seven guys out of the damn things.”
“Either you are way faster reading through what you google than should be humanly possible, or you, my friend,” Chim pointed an accusing finger at Buck, “have prior knowledge on the topic.”

Summary
Eddie had just rushed back to grab his jacket from where he’d forgotten it up in the loft, Buck already waiting for him in the car when he heard a whisper of Buck’s name. Curious, he stopped with one foot on the first step, fully aware that he shouldn’t be eavesdropping on his friends, and listened.
“I can’t believe it,” Hen said, sounding more than a little frustrated. “After everything that happened between them, they still got together, just like that.”
Chimney hummed his agreement. “I know, right? I hate to be the one to say it, but Buck definitely deserves better.”
The slam of a locker in the distance startled Eddie and he quickly made his escape before they noticed they had an audience. He walked back out to the car in almost a trance, his heart in his throat because what the hell? With the amount of time that both Chimney and Hen spent encouraging Eddie to ask Buck out, now that it actually happened they didn’t approve? Why? Had it all been one very cruel joke all along or had Eddie done something that changed their minds?
Or, the one in which everyone needs to stop making assumptions and just talk to each other instead
