Summary
Chloe stared at Lucifer wondering if she heard him correctly. When he kept staring at her she realized that yes, she did, she fought the smile creeping its way on her face.
"Lucifer, I'm not gonna freeload off my friend just because I can't find a place to live," Chloe insisted, crossing her arms stiffly over her chest and frowned. "Thanks for the offer, really, but me and Trixie just can't move in with you."
Lucifer smiled wolfishly at her, displaying rows perfectly white teeth as if he knew she would say just that.
"Come now, Detective. Think of it as staying at a hotel!”
Chloe blinked up at him.
"A hotel?"
"Yes. One you that you would have been unable to afford otherwise, had it not been for your amazingly generous partner."She kicked his shin in response, hard.
(AU in which Chloe never dated Cain, and without Maze she couldn't really afford her apartment anymore and so, she had to make a deal with the devil...essentially, just another 'oh my god they were roomates’ trope, only with wings )

Summary
Isn’t it funny how memories can be tainted by one’s own perspective? There are two sides to every story after all, and Rory is finally seeing hers in a brand new light with the help of a journal left to her by her father. With the turn of every page, she begins to see the events of her past with fresh eyes.
Lucifer kept his promise. Of course he had.
He’d kept another promise too. He had done everything in his power to be there for her life. The question is, can Rory find peace in her own plea for her father not to rewrite history, or will her own guilt consume her?
