“Felix,” Hyunjin said again, louder. “You’re staring.”
“Sorry,” Felix murmured, too quiet to be heard over the thumping music. The man was – older. The greys in his dark, curly hair almost glowed under the flashing lights. He had a strong nose and a plush mouth, broad shoulders and a narrow waist that was highlighted by his tucked black shirt. When he smiled the lines that bracketed his mouth went almost as deep as his dimples. He was hot. Despite his age or because of it, Felix didn’t know. Couldn’t be sure. If they went home together, he wouldn’t be the oldest guy Felix had ever slept with, but he definitely wouldn’t be the youngest.

“Hi there,” Chris faintly hears the stranger—a man, based on the rich, deep voice—say, peering down at an awe-struck Imogen. His eyes flick up and around, catching on Chris’ rapidly approaching form. The panic Chris feels must be evident on his face, because the man smiles wider, brows scrunching almost apologetically. “Is that your dad, sweetheart?”
Imogen doesn’t answer, still standing and staring up at the stranger. Chris slows on his approach, his chest heaving with fear, anxiety, and something borderline unfamiliar that he hasn’t felt in years.
