Summary
Cellbit had done this a million times. The needle being in his leg longer than normal didn't bother him, but he'd gone through almost all of the steps and now Roier was here right as he was about to inject it. There wasn't usually someone watching him though. He couldn't exactly hide it though. The needle was in his leg, and if it wasn't maybe he could've but Roier had seen it already. He couldn't undo this. It was really weird staring down his husband with his testosterone shot only half way injected. One of them needed to break the silence.
“Seriously?” Roier gave him a look and Cellbit felt his heart drop for a second. “Cellbit, I know you have your issues but surely there's other ways to deal with them besides drugs.”

It was worth it though, if Phil's confused yet amused expression is anything to go by. Fit sits backwards in the chair, legs splayed on either side.
“Well good afternoon, Philza,” Fit says, “Funny seeing you here.”
Phil huffs a laugh, pulling his backpack off and hanging it next to the door. “Its funny seeing you here as well, considering I live here. Why are you sitting ominously in my house, mate?”

When Cellbit wakes, he expects to feel rested. Refreshed. And, depending on how long he’d spent asleep, starving. Yet he’s none of these things, and exhaustion still clings to him like tar.
Roier knows Bagi wants to help. He knows of her blind, fierce defensiveness for her newly recovered sibling, despite its one-sided nature. She and Cellbo are alike in that way, love and care expressing themselves through sharp claws and even sharper words. But she doesn't get it, and he doesn’t expect her to.
Another day, another corpse.
Bagi has to admit it — out of everyone on the island, Roier has the best poker face. The kind that only slips when he wants it to. But the evidence is piling up along with the bodies, and Bagi isn't sure how long she can keep this up.With most of the island either MIA or fallen into a week-long sleep, those that remain try to keep it together.
