Summary
Daryl Dixon is an utterly uninspired art teacher, living and working in Saint Cliff, attempting to teach uninterested high schoolers about the joy of painting. When a new student sparks controversy due to his quite visible physical impairment, Daryl learns of the young boy’s affinity for art.
The bond between a lonely child and a possibly lonelier adult grows when Daryl learns the student is the child of his new neighbor.
Rick Grimes is a newly divorced single father who just moved from Atlanta to Saint Cliff, hoping for a fresh start. After struggling for months to get his son to open up to him, Rick is ecstatic when Carl comes home ranting and raving about Mr. Dixon, his new, cool art teacher.
Rick wants to help his son be rid of his sadness. Daryl wants a reason to be up and running.

Summary
Steve never tells anyone about Billy. He watches Max disappear into herself with grief and guilt but he can’t bring himself to tell her that he feels it, too. That he knows the loss is mixed up with hatred and relief, but is still pure in the way it pierces something fundamental inside of him, and he gets it. He just never tells anyone.
But then there is Eddie Munson, with a wickedness that feels wholesome and warm and slowly, Steve is starting to think he might want it. He just doesn’t think he can figure it out without first figuring out how to let go of Billy.

Soap shuffled, peeling himself off of the boulder he had been leaning against as he rubbed the back of his neck almost guiltily. “Aye well. . . This isn’t your average training exercise, Konig.” Soap said, sucking on his teeth as if embarrassed. “We uh. . . We’ve been taking a bit of notice ‘bout you and all so we wanted to invite ya out here. Ghost and I play this. . . Game.”
“A game?” Konig asked.
“Yeah we–”
“For fucks sake Johnny. We chase each other in the woods and whoever catches the other fucks em’.” Ghost cut him off, arms still tight against his chest. “We want you to join, are you in or out?”
